Ornette, thanks for being my mirror!

Sohrab Saadat Ladjevardi, who was “a kind of a student” of jazz legend Ornette Coleman, remembered his mentor and friend Ornette late at night on the same day when he passed away, June 11, 2015.

Before midnight he went with his tenor saxophon to his spot at the tunnel of Riverside Park at West 72nd Street in NY. He started playing imagining Ornette around him who was guiding him through his improv. Performimg his version of Ornette’s Harmolodics.

He recorded this improvised music  with his iPhone.
