“Another nutty curio from the 80’s Japanese underground. Moments of suave delicacy slam face-first into punch-drunk idiocy in a manner the Japanese ought to take a patent out on. Flutes flutter, plinky plonky guitars wiggle around pitter-patter percussion and zany japanese people do funny things to their voices with effects (which I suppose qualifies this as “zolo”), only to yield to slick jazz funk, then, disjointed synthesizer splats and blats, then dumbo hard rock with free jazz sax…Yup…it’s a good one!” by the MUTANT SOUNDS blog.

Guest Appearances
1992 – The Blech Liebeslieder CD (Jaro Rec, Germany)
1993 – SOFT BALLET Incubate CD (Victor Entertainment, Japan), voice on track “Gene Sets.”
While I lived and worked in Japan, some bands and musicians recognized my musical talent as a singer and instrumentalist, leading to collaborations. One of these bands was the Japanese synthpop, new-wave, electro-industrial, EBM, alternative dance band SOFT BALLET. In 1993, SOFT BALLET invited me to collaborate on vocals and spoken-word German on the track “Gene Sets,” released on their album “Incubate” by Victor Entertainment, Tokyo. We recorded at the super cool VICTOR STUDIO. It was a great experience. I enjoyed the recording a lot because it was in German rather than English. Unfortunately, I couldn’t perform or tour with them because I was too busy touring with my band SADATO, promoting the CD “1992”, and recording with a side project in New York.
1996 – AIDS Gott Im Zorn CD (Aho Recording, Germany)
1996 – Mighty John Henry Hot Air Head CD (ALIDA/Creativeman Disc, Japan) on track “The Bright Side of the Sun” (3:58)

2011 – Pascal Plantinga Even Angels Take Detours CD & LP (Ata Tak Rec, Germany)
2024 – Keyna Wilkins New York Sessions CD and Digital release
In April 2023, Australian musician-composer Keyna Wilkins visited New York and led several stream-of-consciousness recorded improvisation sessions with local New York musicians Michael Kevin Walsh (keys), David Belmont (percussion, poetry, and vocal sounds), Kevin Kuhn (electric guitar), Ron Wasserman (electric bass), and SoSaLa (tenor and soprano saxes, vocals, and clapping).
The sessions were arranged and facilitated by Musicians For Musicians, a New York-based musicians’ rights association, and SoSaLa. All tracks were recorded by Michael Kevin Walsh at The Smooth Spot (NY), mixed by Michael Kevin Walsh and David Belmont (a bandmate of SoSaLa), and further mixed and mastered by Matt Stewart at A Sharp Studios Sydney. Artwork by Yoko Kuroda and Yogahatti.
